1962

Established as SANYU CONSULTANTS INTERNATIONAL INC. with a paid-in capital of 5 million JPY. Mr. Shotaro KUNO (1900-1996) assumed the President. Opened TOKYO branch office.

First-phase capital increase to 10 million JPY.
1963

Received license No. 808 as a first-class architectural firm by Government of Aichi prefecture.
Second-phase capital increase to 20 million JPY.
Received Surveyorfs license No. (1)-799 from of Ministry of Construction.

Opened technical research institute to conduct such research and testing as soil quality, experimental models, topographical surveys, subterranean water utilization and survey design, concrete testing, hydrologic testing, asphalt testing, etc.
1964 Received Ministry of Construction license No. 39-29 as construction Consultants.
1965

Our first oversea project gTaleghan Multipurpose Water Resources Development Projecth started in Iran.

Number of staff exceeded to more than 100.
1967

Third-phase capital increase to 40 million JPY.

1970

Opened KYUSHU branch office.
Forth-phase capital increase to 42.7 million JPY.

Number of staff was reached 200.
1972

Changed registered name to SANYU CONSULTANTS INC. Mr. Hikoichi KUNO (1900-2001) assumed the President.

Installed DEMOS computer system to commence various technical computations in headquarters.
1973

Opened SENDAI branch office.

1975

Opened SAPPORO branch office.

Installed IBM 370/115 computer system in Tokyo branch office. In civil engineering fields, developed analysis methodology for automatic graphics system, limited factor methodology and others.
1977

Obtained Ministry of Construction license No. 52-123 as a soil quality tester.

1979

Opened the BANGKOK office as our first oversea office.

1980

Fifth-phase capital increase to 59.77 million JPY.

Opened the CAIRO office in Egypt.
1982

Installed Fujitsu FACOM M-140 computer system in headquarters, interactive processing technical computing system was developed and graphic processing system made replete.

1984

Opened the MANILA office in the Philippine.

1986

Number of staff was reached 250.

1987

Headquarters and branches linked on-line through computer network, enabling improvement in quality of computer utilization and development of various types of databases.

1988

Chairman Hikoichi KUNO received the Japan Blue Ribbon Medal from Imperial Household Agency.

1990

Installed CAD system to streamline the design.

1992

Celebrated 30th anniversary of Sanyu Consultants Inc.

1993

Established SANYU COSULTANTS (THAILAND) Ltd.

1994

Number of staff increased to 300.

1995

Established joint venture VWDC in Vietnam.

1997

Mr. Norihiko KUNO (1955- ) assumed the President.

1998

Opened OKAYAMA branch office.

1999

Received Certificate of Registration on ISO 9001 (Head Office)

2001

Opened YANGON office in Myanmar.

2002

Celebrated 40th anniversary of Sanyu Consultants Inc.
Received Certificate of Registration on ISO 9001 (International Department)

2005

Set up Compliance Committee in all offices.

2006

Set up the new division on asset management for public facilities.

2012

Celebrated 50th anniversary of Sanyu Consultants Inc.

2022

Celebrated 60th anniversary of Sanyu Consultants Inc.
