The Study on the Integrated Regional Socio-Economic Development for Key Areas of the Central Region, Socialist Republic of Vietnam
(1995|1997)
Viet Namfs economy has been growing rapidly under the renovation policy taking into account the market oriented. However, regional economic disparities within the country have widened in the course of rapid national economic growth. The Central Region cannot keep pace with the rapid growth in the South and the North. Leaving the Central Region as an economic discontinuity between the North and the South, thus jeopardizing the economic unification of the country. In this context, reshaping its existing industrial structure is essential by placing much more emphasis on the growth of the industrial sector, while sustaining effective efforts to enhance the productivity of the agricultural sector.
