Master Plan (target year 2015) and Feasibility Study for expansion of water supply of Magalies Water Public Corporation in north of Pretoria, capital city of the South Africa, were conducted as a technical cooperation by Japanese Government to restructuring and strengthening of water supply sector under Reconstruction and Development Program (RDP) of post- Apartheid New South African Government started in 1994.
The comprehensive study included institutional and organization analysis and capacity building plan of water company and local government as well as technical feasibility of water supply system. The study also had provided in itself pilot projects, novel approach in the then JICA study, as a trial for water fee collection througth construction of community water supply systems in four villages. The study was somehow challenging in a new nation and in approaches.
