The study area is semi-arid and located on the southern edge of the Saharan desert called Sahel. The recent rapid growth of the population combined with cattle grazing has remarkably aggravated desertification. In order to stop the progress of desertification and settle the local population engaged in agriculture and livestock in that region, an agricultural and water resource development plan was formulated. To harmonize development and environmental conservation, semi-arid agricultural farming for saving irrigation water methods, water harvesting, etc. were proposed to be introduced. Resulting from the Study, a verification study was proposed. In addition, developing solar energy generation, fundamental data collection and analysis were studied through the installation of the photovoltaic system.
